NEW WORKS DEVELOPMENT

The New Works Development Program identifies and works with local and national playwrights to develop new scripts from rough to final draft. One of the ways that we do this is through the New Threads Writer’s Group, which meets every two weeks to read, discuss, and workshop original plays in development.

IN DIALOGUE

This program uses a unique format to present scaled-down “staged readings” of established plays that are immediately followed by forums (talk-backs) that engage audiences and theatre workers in a discussion of the work and themes presented. Productions have included John Logan’s Red, Stephen Belber’s Tape, and Heather McDonald’s An Almost Holy Picture.
